Updated Durasein solid surface range from IDS offers more design scope and margin opportunity to KBB sector
Surface materials specialist distributor IDS has strengthened its partnership with world-class acrylic solid surface manufacturer Durasein and launched a newly updated range of designs and cast sinks and bowls. The range is strategically aimed at offering KBB retailers, fabricators and manufacturers a solid surface offering that combines on-point design and accessible pricing, together with ex-stock availability of the entire range.
20 new designs have been introduced into the 60-strong range, which is entirely curated to meet the needs of the UK market. New additions span luxurious onyx, concrete and marble effects with a high-quality depth and definition that mirrors the natural material, plus plain and particle-based whites and accent colours. Four decors have been uniquely created for IDS and the UK market which are Blanca Carrera, an elegant marble design featuring distinctive veining; Sandstone, a warm organic flecked décor; Fossil, a soft grey concrete design; and Blush, a muted concrete design with a subtle pink hue. The choice of cast sinks and bowls has been updated with new sizes and designs, all of which are manufactured in-house by Durasein® and guarantee strict quality control and consistency.

Durasein has immense versatility for applications including bathroom vanity units, washroom troughs, kitchen worksurfaces, cabinet fronts and island units. Unlike any other material, solid surface has the unrivalled ability to be seamlessly jointed, cut, shaped, thermoformed and moulded for use on horizontal and vertical applications. It also benefits from being hygienic and easy to clean and carries NSF-51 certification for use in food preparation areas.
The entire Durasein range is stocked in the UK in a standard sheet size of 12mm x 3660mm x 760mm, with the most popular whites available in additional thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 25mm and sheet sizes of 1270mm to 1520mm. Other decors are available in these additional formats on a MOQ basis and lead time.
The range has also benefitted from a stylish new re-brand and is supported by a full suite of quality Point of Sale materials including sample presentation box, showroom friendly brochure, new display name plate and express sample service.
