Sirius International Conference lays foundations for the future
Sirius Buying Group, one of the UK’s major buying groups in the electrical appliance and kitchen retail industry celebrate the success of its 10th International Conference, which took place on Sunday 15th to Tuesday 17th May at Sunborn Gibraltar, the world’s first 5-star super-yacht hotel and casino.
Following a keynote speech from Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius Buying Group to kickstart the event, the three-day conference focussed on the latest industry trends and product innovations from Approved Suppliers, as well as outlining how to use a growth mindset to empower business and pivot in line with the changing face of retail. Over the course of the trip, Members were privy to a range of Supplier presentations, a full day for one-to-one meetings, Awards Dinner and plenty of networking opportunities where Suppliers and Members forged new relationships, as well as strengthening and enriching existing connections.

The next big diary date in the Sirius Buying Group 2022 Calendar is the annual Trade Show at the popular, centrally located Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club, Birmingham on Wednesday 21st September, following the Sirius Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 20th September. Plans for the 2023 International Conference are already in progress with a variety of exciting locations and venues under consideration so watch this space for more details. Once all possibilities have been thoroughly evaluated, the chosen destination will be announced later this year.
