Rangemaster helps Charlton Kings family

Rangemaster has donated two sinks to a deserving family from Charlton Kings, as featured on the BBC One series DIY SOS: The Big Build on 14th June 2022. The Farmhouse double-bowl Belfast and 1.5-bowl Rustique sinks were used as part of a much-needed and life-changing transformation to their home.
Mother, Sarah, and daughter, Suzanne, have Myotonic Dystrophy – a genetic disorder that affects muscle function. The DIY SOS team were tasked with adapting the Chapman family’s home to meet their needs, while also providing the necessary space to accommodate the specialist equipment and wheelchairs for Sarah and Suzanne.
The kitchen was a key focus to provide the Chapman’s with a space large enough to accommodate the wheelchairs. Rangemaster stepped in and donated a Farmhouse double bowl Belfast sink for the kitchen, and a Rustique 1.5-bowl sink for the adjoining utility room. Both are made from fire-clay ceramic, which is highly resistant against heat, stains and scratches. The smooth, glazed surface is easy to clean as microbes and stains just simply wipe away, providing a durable and hygienic solution for the Chapman family.
Rangemaster Sales Director James Cunningham said: “Giving back to the community is important to us as a business, we are proud to be involved in such an important project to improve the life of the Chapman family.”
