Franke UK to re-focus its UK business on core product categories and cease selling Frames by Franke appliances.

Franke UK has announced a strategic decision to re-focus and prioritise its activities in the UK and Ireland on its core categories of sinks, taps, waste management and hoods. From the end of March, the company will no longer sell its range of appliances marketed under the Frames by Franke brand, allowing the company to dedicate its resources and expertise to growing sales and brand strength in its key product areas.

Says Neil Clark, managing director of Franke UK:

“Looking at the UK market, sinks and taps are our traditional heartland where we see big opportunities especially in the instant boiling water sector, as well as in extending our market penetration in waste management and hoods. We have many new products coming through from our innovation pipeline in 2018 in sinks, taps and luxury hoods, as well as a brand new line from premium brand KWC. There are lots of positives for our customers and I believe the UK market, with its continuing challenges, is best served by us prioritising our attention in these areas and not in appliances where the market is heavily represented already.”

The appliances in the Frames by Franke collection will be withdrawn at the end of March but the sinks, taps and accessories element of the offer will continue to be available and will now be sold through Franke’s distribution partners.

Franke is managing the withdrawal of the appliances with its current retail partners in a transition period until the end of March. Customers who have bought Frames by Franke appliances are being given full assurance that warranties, service and after-sales care will be honoured as the appliances will continue to be sold in other countries within the Franke Group, and Franke UK will provide ongoing customer service. Consumers who have ordered a Frames by Franke appliance will receive them as normal during the transition period.
