AQUALISA Celebrates British Superbike Title For Josh Brookes

Bathroom technology experts Aqualisa announced back in February that it had joined the ranks of sponsors for the leading British Superbike team – PBM Ducati – for the 2020 season.

On 18th October VisionTrack Ducati’s Josh Brookes put in two stunning rides at Brands Hatch to take this seasons Bennetts British Superbike Championship, clinching the 2020 Championship in style.

In keeping with its reputation as Britain’s most successful BSB team, which has now won a total of eight BSB titles and over 120 races, the factory-supported VisionTrack Ducatis ridden by Josh Brookes and backed up by Christian Iddon – who finished a creditable third in the championship this season –  brought the championship home with 288 and 258 points respectively.

The PBM Team is the most successful motorbike racing team of all time, and this year carried Aqualisa branding on its race winning Ducatis, all its team wear, transporters and pit garage surrounds.

Aqualisa confirmed its industry leading status for innovation with the launch of the first ever digital shower in 2001. With a completely new product proposition based on clever technology, simple, one touch control and easy installation, the ground-breaking Quartz changed the world of showers forever. Like Ducati, Aqualisa leads from the front and in 2020 has continued to pioneer the development of showering as part of the smart home revolution with the launch of the Smart Quartz Collection of app and voice activated showers.

CEO of Aqualisa, Colin Sykes said: “We have had a fantastic ‘ride ‘ on our first season alongside Paul Bird Motorsport and it’s been an absolute pleasure to watch Josh and Christian belting around the tracks all season, bringing home the points and importantly the wins that sees the team winning its eighth championship. It’s been a special year despite the restrictions that Covid-19 has inevitably had on normality and racing without the crowds to watch at each round must have been difficult for the riders. Having said that, the racing has been full out and really exciting to watch on TV.”
