Step by step to being more than a simple sink

Stainless steel and Silgranit BLANCO ETAGON three-tier sink system

Large single bowls without a drainer are on trend – and with carefully planned accessories, create a practical zone in the kitchen for preparing and washing up. Blanco’s innovative, high-end bowl concept Blanco Etagon sets totally new standards with regard to functionality and aesthetics. Available both in stainless steel satin polish and Silgranit PuraDur, it includes four models for the 60 cm wide base cabinet. The three-tier sink system has a clever refinement – two high-quality stainless steel runners, specifically developed for Etagon. They fit perfectly onto the two steps integrated into the bowl and create an additional work surface when required. In combination with optional accessories or existing tableware, Etagon provides three action levels in a single bowl – and thus the optimum conditions for greater efficiency in daily kitchen life.

While, for example, potatoes are soaking on the lowest level – on the bottom of the bowl – other vegetables can be prepared on the two tiers above. Simply place the chopping board on the top tier, the edge of the bowl, and put a colander onto the Etagon runners directly below to work into – and the clever preparation station is complete. The glass or ash compound chopping board and the Etagon runners that are included as standard precisely match the bowl concept, although they can also be used outside the bowl. The non-slip and robust Etagon runners are made from brushed stainless steel and also make an ideal trivet. And they are still useful once the cooking and washing up is over: stacked at the side on the the step of the bowl, they act as an unobtrusive drying station for sponge and cloth.

The sink itself features an elegant and linear design. The new InFino drain system and the concealed C-overflow emphasize the refined look. Small base radii help to ensure that the bowl is used to its maximum capacity. With such generous dimensions, even a baking sheet can be stored on an intermediate level fitted with Etagon runners, allowing it to soak at a convenient working height.

The new three-tier sink system ensures maximum flexibility for kitchen planning. There are four versions to choose from, three of which are made from stainless steel: Blanco Etagon 500-IF/A and 500-IF, with an extra-flat rim, for conventional or flushmount installation – with or without a tap ledge in each case. There is a choice of two materials for the undermount: Etagon 500-U in stainless steel and in Silgranit PuraDur. With ten attractive Silgranit colours available, including new nutmeg, an exact match to kitchen furniture and worktop can always be found.
