Retailers celebrate the best of British design and manufacture throughout National Tile Week

Back for the second year running, National Tile Week 2017 was bigger than ever with national and independent retailers supporting the event over the double Easter bank holiday weekend. Sponsored by British Ceramic Tile, the campaign took a stronger consumer approach than in its previous year, but still had a focus on driving tile sales during the peak DIY trading period.

This year saw a substantial increase in the number of retailers involved with the campaign climbing from 60 retailers in 2016 to over 300 participating partners, including over 100 Tile Giant stores. Retailers were given a range of exclusive promotions and discounts from British Ceramic Tile for the duration of the campaign, as well as promotional materials to use in store, which offered advice and guidance from tile and DIY expert, Julia Kendell who headed up the campaign.

Retailer specific events were also held nationally during the week at British Ceramic Tile establishments with one at the company’s London Hub in Clerkenwell and one at the Northern Hub in Bradford. Julia delivered an insightful talk at the London Hub event discuss the latest tiling trends and how these are influencing the various markets from retailers, through to architects and designers.
