Bathroom furniture: much more than a trend

Minimalism exudes style but all bathrooms need storage. With market research finding that an average bathroom has to accommodate more than 100 various products, our ever-so-British 3 piece suite no longer seems compatible with our busy lifestyles. Bathroom furniture has become an integral component of the bathroom as design becomes ever more personal.

Trends show that our views on bathrooms have now evolved to a completely different level: for the last decade or so, we have seen consumers looking for practicality combined with beauty for their bathroom, but it seems that looking good on the outside is no longer enough for the latest generation of bathroom furniture: with clever interior storage solutions becoming the new big thing, it seems that inner beauty and lifestyle organisation really does count too.

Bathroom furniture is the ultimate solution to create a design focal point whilst making the most of the available space and keeping the room tidy and clean.

Every year, manufacturers invest substantial resources in research & development in order to achieve new shapes, new textured finishes and materials with unique properties - like antibacterial worktops. This enables professional retailers to add unexpected features and benefits to each customer’s bathroom design.

As relatively few homes in the UK actually have fitted or modular bathroom furniture, opportunities exist for retailers to provide contemporary designed bathrooms incorporating much needed storage solutions. Adding furniture storage serves the consumers needs more closely than standard sanitaryware and often increases the consumer’s order value and subsequently the margin and profit earned from each and every sale or installation. The wider availability and the range of products now available, along with higher levels of consumer awareness, are clearly stimulating growth.
