Moving just 300 yards, but gaining 21,796 square feet of space, CD (UK) Ltd’s new Leeds premises at Wakefield House couldn’t be more exciting. The extra space means that larger stocks of Corian®, the luxury solid surface material, can be stored and is readily available, making it possible for customers to obtain supplies both quickly and easily.
A newly created showroom will not only display all the latest thermoforming and sanding machines for working with solid surface materials, but also showcase the top brands of power tools including Festool, Makita and Betterley. Fabricators can test and buy Mirka abrasive disks, Bessey clamps and Omnicubed seam setters – everything you need for working on high-end Corian® installations.
Adjacent to this, a new training room and lecture room allows fabricators to enjoy specialist instruction in the art of working with Corian®. Previous to this CD (UK) Ltd would design courses for fabricators, but they always held them on the customers’ site. The advantage of holding courses on CD (UK) Ltd’s own site is huge since all the new machinery is readily accessible. At the same time CD (UK) will be running training sessions for kitchen showrooms to help them develop their Corian® sales.
