Hudson Reed is proud to announce that all its thermostatic showers are manufactured and tested in the UK. Since the acquisition of Valquest by the Ultra Finishing group, the majority of Hudson Reed showers are powered by Valquest technology and achieve the TMV2 standard. TMV2 is the government sponsored standard that tests domestic shower valves to ensure that they will meet stringent anti scald safety and accurate temperature control standards, even under extreme operating conditions.
For the householder this means that shower temperatures remain within close limits, regardless of other water use in the home and that if the cold water supply failed, the shower would shut off within 1.5 seconds to prevent the risk of scalding. These showers all incorporate a high temperature safety override button set at 38°C, again for the safety of vulnerable members of the family. This is backed up by a 20 year guarantee for total peace of mind plus extensive investment in state of the art test equipment to remain at the cutting edge of developments in technology.
