Karonia specified for sustainable development
Published:  13 December, 2011

MISTRAL solid surface worktops by Karonia have been specified throughout the innovative new ‘Green Street in The Meadows’ development in Nottingham. The inspiring 38 home development is an £8 million scheme by award winning developer Blueprint and has been designed to an unprecedented standard of quality and sustainability.

All the kitchens in the contemporary town houses have been fitted by Accent Kitchens and feature a selection of MISTRAL worksurfaces. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms, MISTRAL is a 25mm thick, non-porous, solid surface that combines the look of natural quartz and stone with the practicality and unlimited creative potential of an acrylic-based material.

Pete Conboy of Blueprint commented, “To fit in with the sustainability ethos of the development, we were looking for a high quality, durable and versatile worksurface. MISTRAL was the obvious choice as it is also easy to fit and, in the unlikely event of wear and tear, can be repaired very simply. It has proved very popular with buyers.”
