The launch of the new design show W12 – Working with Design will be an important national event for KBB designers, manufacturers and retailers. Scheduled for 7-10 October 2012 at the NEC the event will run alongside the established W12 Working with Wood technology exhibition for the furniture industry. W12 Working with Design is specifically attracting exhibitors whose products allow KBB designers, manufacturers and retailers to differentiate and individualise their products.
Already suppliers of surfacing and edging materials, components, specialised board and solid surface products as well as CAD software suppliers are signed up – even at this early stage.
According to a FIRA report, the number one strategy for furniture manufacturers is product differentiation – an area in which design will dominate.
To exhibit at Working with Design suppliers must demonstrate that they have products which are essentially design led. They guarantee that only the most design-driven material, components and concepts will be exhibited.
