Blum provides top quality vocational training to ensure it has the specialists it needs for the future. 53 young men and 11 young women started their vocational training in one of the skilled trades offered by Blum in Hoechst on 1 September. Blum USA took on three new apprentices. Currently, a total of 261 young people are serving an apprenticeship with Blum – eight of whom at the company’s American subsidiary.
Blum offers seven different skilled trades. Young people can train to become electrical engineers, plant constructors, toolmakers, cutting engineers, technical design engineers, plastics and manufacturing engineers.
The dual model of vocational training (apprentices learn the practical skills required in a working environment and the theory at a vocational training school) has proven its worth and is also used at Blum USA. The fittings manufacturer will continue to offer its wide range of vocational training, for the objective is to produce young specialists who will have the skills to meet the company’s needs in the future.
