Affordable ranges does not mean a compromise on quality, service or profit

The current economic climate has created an increased demand for affordable kitchens. Many kitchen manufacturers have introduced entry level kitchen ranges in recent years but often they look cheap and unattractive. The secret is to manufacture entry level kitchens with perceived value. This is possible with the availability of a vast array of melamine faced boards that can be cut and edged with thick PVC.

High definition woodgrains and plain colour melamine faced board can make very attractive fascias. Add a good looking handle and you have the wow factor at an economical price.

It is possible to create several affordable kitchen ranges using the above construction or to take advantage of the endless design possibilities using a combination of MDF and vinyl. These can be combined with economically priced cabinets and laminate worktops to produce affordable kitchens that look expensive but are affordable.

German manufacturers have developed many of their kitchen ranges using Melamine faced board with PVC edge tape to create slab style doors but have sold them at inflated prices. It is possible to follow their example without applying the designer price tag.

As the market becomes increasingly price conscious it is essential to have a selection of affordable kitchen ranges but you can’t do this by just lowering your quality, price or profit margin. You have to maintain quality, service and profit by creating perceived value and the wow factor.
