IDS has notched up £1m worth of sales on its e-commerce site IDS Webstore which allows trade customers a 24/7 online solution with product ordering, account management and delivery tracking. IDS was the first distributor in its sector to launch an on-line shopping service to trade customers giving them 24/7 flexibility to purchase from its extensive portfolio of work surfaces, flooring and Showerwall waterproof wall panelling.
Customers can select from a line-up including Tuscan solid and engineered wood flooring; Quickstep and KronoOriginal laminate flooring; Tuscan engineered stone and solid surfaced worktops; and laminate worktop brands from Bushboard, Formica and Duropal.
Easy to navigate, the site allows customers multiple ways to search for and select products by browsing a product category, a particular brand or by putting a product code straight into the search box; technical specifications sheets, fitting instructions and warranties can be downloaded.
“We are delighted to hit the £1m sales target as it proves the there is a growing place for the flexibility of online ordering in addition to the traditional channels of phone and fax,” says marketing and e-commerce manager Rebecca Slinn.
