Triflow Concepts announces Triflow Future Talents Competition 2011
Published:  09 September, 2011

Launched in 2009, Triflow Future Talents is a competition which aims to encourage young designers to design a new kitchen or bathroom product. As manufacturer of the first three-way tap delivering hot, cold and purified water through a dedicated tube in the same spout, we value innovative engineering design. The Triflow Future Talents competition is an opportunity to build upon our own expertise and support emerging design talent.

The 2009 and 2010 Triflow Future Talents competitions were resounding successes, attracting over 150 entries. Entries were judged by eminent experts in the fields of design and architecture including: British architect, Zaha Hadid; interior designer, David Collins; Editor-in-chief of Wallpaper magazine, Tony Chambers; The Times Magazine design columnist, Caroline Roux; Designer and Head of Design at the RCA, Tord Boontje; Director of Applied Imagination at Central Saint Martins, Dr Geoff Crook; and Editor of Architectural Review, Catherine Slessor.

The shortlisted designs were displayed at the 100% Design London exhibition. Triflow Future Talents 2010 was won by Sammy Bikoulis, who is currently collaborating with Triflow Concepts to bring his winning design to fruition.

The Triflow Future Talents competition, run as an opportunity for Triflow Concepts to support emerging British talent, is seeking submissions of designs for a pioneering new kitchen tap or accessory.

This year, our confirmed panel of judges include: Nicole Swengley, freelance design & lifestyle journalist; Johnny Tucker, Editor of Blueprint magazine; Richard Found, Principal of Found Associates; and Paul Priestman, Director of Priestmangoode and Nicolette Kwok, Director of Triflow Concepts.

Designers may apply on our website: www.triflowconcepts.com. Entries should be sent in on DVD before the deadline on 30th September 2011.

Entries will be shortlisted in early October, with the final winner announced on 7th October. The winner will receive a cash prize of GBP 2,000 and have the opportunity to work with Triflow Concepts towards a prototype of their design and possibly taking this into production.
