Water Efficient Products Combine Boutique Bathroom Style

The focus on water efficiency has meant that the brassware industry has taken stock of the functionality of products, their environmental credentials and now style. The average Briton drinks 2 to 5 litres of water a day and uses in excess of another 145 litres for cooking, cleaning, washing and flushing. However, because of the water used to manufacture products and cultivate food, our lifestyle means that the average Briton really consumes around 3,400 litres every day.

To achieve the target set out in Part G2 for the prevention of undue consumption of water, which must not exceed 125 litres per person per day, the water efficiency of the appliances used in a system is key.  Not to forget there is also an emphasis on the consumer to be more conscious of their own water consumption, although if the manufacturing industry along with the end-user combines efforts a more sustainable and now stylish lifestyle can be achieved.

As the industry gears up to provide a more comprehensive range of eco-friendly products, there are already some stylish water-saving, products out there.  Taps with a flow regulator already fitted allow a reduction in water wastage to various maximums, the conscientious manufacturer will also provide a range of taps that limit water usage to 4 litres per min (+/- 15%), achieving a significant decrease, which allows the homeowner to be more conscious about their water consumption but still be able to achieve their day to day requirements.

Chic concealed bathroom systems provide a stylish boutique look to any bathroom, now available through Pegler Yorkshire, they encompass an adjustable flush from 2.4 and 4 litre water saving dual flush combination to 3 and 5.5 litres, these systems are all eco-friendly.
