For more than 17 years Montrose have been manufacturing Bathroom Furniture products, for the UK market, from their Essex based factory & offices. In recent years the brand has been re-focused & revitalised, allowing Montrose to move forward in tough trading conditions, within its core market - Bathroom Furniture. As a business Montrose feels the continued development it has enjoyed, can be attributed to many factors but that they all link back to the dedicated focus on their core product - Bathroom Furniture.
In line with this Montrose see’s part of its growing attraction to dealers, coming from its own UK manufacturing facilities for Bathroom Furniture and is quick to point out that they really do mean manufacturing, not just assembly undertaken with purchased in components. Within their factory Montrose employs a dedicated team, who take customer orders from raw material to finished products and this process involves; cutting, drilling, edging, gluing, machining, pressing, routering, sanding, trimming and finally when all the components are manufactured, assembly, packaging and delivery.
What this provides to Montrose and its dealers, is control & flexibility, control of lead times / finished product quality and flexibility to react promptly / offer Range Diversity. In discussion with David Marchant – Managing Director of Montrose, he comments ‘the bathroom furniture market is all about providing customers with the right product solution for their needs, so whilst many of our competitors have condensed their range offerings, the range diversity within Montrose continues to expand. The reason we are able to do this is we manufacture to order, in our own production facility, within pre-determined lead times and in total control of finished product quality. Our own production capability also means we can offer regular Montrose dealers with a specials service, whereby product depths, widths or styles that are outside of our normal range, can be accommodate at a quoted price and turned around in 14 days, from order confirmation’.
With further Bathroom Furniture product introductions due in the next couple of months, which will include; New Finishes, New Bath Panels, New Curved Units, New Worktops, New Handles, New LED Lighting and additions to the Dupont Corian, Gelcast Basin & Unit, Modular Space & Montrose Fitted product ranges, there is much to look forward for dealers. The Montrose thinking seems clearly aimed at providing dealers with a product & service, that delivers the very best product solution for UK consumers & properties, whilst also fulfilling design, styling & budget requirements.
