kbb London a big success
Published:  10 June, 2011

kbb London launched on the 15th of May at ExCeL, London, being the only capital trade event devoted exclusively to the kbb industry. The show opened its doors to thousands of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom professionals for three days of top kbb business and professional networking.

kbb London presented the latest collections and product developments from over 100 KBB manufacturers, suppliers and design practices. Among the well-known names exhibiting at the show were BC Designs, De Dietrich, Drummonds, Hafele UK, Hansgrohe, Perrin & Rowe, Poggenpohl, Roca, Scavolini, Triflow, Vitra and VZug.

kbb London in its launch year ran under the theme of Innovation, offering a completely unique approach to kbb design. Pioneering designs from the industry’s most forward-thinking brands were showcased in the Innovation Centre and the Future Bathrooms 2020 area presented forward-thinking designs.

kbb London brand director Andrew Vaughan was very pleased with the show results: “We are delighted to have received plenty of positive feedback from kbb London exhibitors and visitors alike. The theme of Innovation was welcomed with great interest and offered a fresh approach to kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design, inspiring our visitors, who were searching for brand-new creative solutions and products.”

The Innovation Awards recognised pioneering kbb designs, with De Dietrich, S-Box and Fisher & Paykel winning the awards presenting designs such as a customisable induction hob; interactive hidden storage space and a food-cooling draw.

kbb London also offered a wealth of inspiration, education and lively discussions through a series of free seminars, an afternoon with BD on transforming old buildings into new spaces and a conference devoted to sustainability. Among the seminar speakers were representatives of Ercol, CP Hart, Hansgrohe, Ripples, Molteni Dada, Barber Wilson and Conran and Partners, offering business insight into the intricacies of designing KBB products and spaces.
