From product development to customer service, consumers won’t settle for second best
Published:  10 June, 2011

So 2011, how is your year shaping up?  Well I guess we have all realised that it’s going to be a challenging year, that said there’s always business to be done, we’ve all just got to fight that bit harder to get it!

The focus for businesses that wish to remain successful has to lie in their product development, product quality, competitive pricing with added value and first class customer service. No matter whether your business is as a retailer, merchant, distributor or manufacturer, these areas remain equally important to all.

Over the past few years bathroom furniture has seen many new companies enter into what is a growing sector, there is no doubt that the level of choice offered to consumers has increased dramatically.  Likewise the end consumer is far more aware of the options available to them and for those that are spending their money, they are less inclined to settle for second best or a compromise.

Whilst new build has recognised the fact that households are demanding a greater number of Bath and Shower Rooms and for these facilities to be dedicated to specific users, the area allocated in many properties still remains compact.  In the RMI market where older properties were built with limited facilities from the outset, the focus is on getting more out of the space, by better use, reclaiming or extending.

The net result is the need for a highly diverse product area, in order to provide the very best solutions for individual consumer needs.  Couple this with the change of Bath and Shower Room’s from a totally functional space, into one that has to fit with lifestyle and provide a private sanctuary, then you’ll understand how different our market is in 2011.
