The trend for natural materials like wood and stone is here to stay

The strong trend for tranquil spa-like bathrooms with a mix of natural materials such as wood and stone is here to stay.

Once seen as a functional room to be visited briefly and typically in white ceramic suites, the bathroom is now firmly established as an indulgent relaxation zone.  There is nothing quite like natural materials such as wood and stone offering such tactile appeal, sheer beauty and a sense of quality, to create this calm environment.

Treasures from the earth are associated with harmony so it makes sense to introduce some outdoor elements into what often is the most relaxing room in the house.  The last few years have also seen a return to dark luxurious wood such as black walnut.

At Stonearth we are passionate about nature, passionate about using the most natural of all materials to help create your little haven.  And that’s why we only use 100% solid oak, walnut and bamboo to make the furniture; and real hand-crafted stone to make the statement basins.

Natural materials along with their distinctive texture create the desire to reach out and touch. The inherent beauty that comes from the distinctive veins and asymmetric patterns of a genuine stone; and the organic appeal that comes from the authentic knots and grain of real wood is remarkable.  Luxury materials such as travertine and hand-made finishes are key to adding that wow factor.  Because it’s a timeless material, it also helps to ground a very contemporary scheme.
