Bathroom headlines from Hansgrohe
Published:  12 April, 2011

With the development of Ecostat Select, Hansgrohe has re-invented exposed thermostats. At first glance the function is hidden as these extraordinary thermostatic shower and bath mixers look like large shelves. Although the Ecostat Select is not much bigger than standard bar-style thermostats, it can be flush-mounted onto the wall offering an elegant solution for concealing connections. The wide top, in choice of white or mirrored finish, is made from high quality safety glass through which large, easy-to-understand symbols for controlling water flow and temperature can be clearly viewed. Ergonomically shaped handles allow for easy operation and the entire housing is air insulated to guarantee a comfortable surface temperature.

The Raindance Lift is a new shower panel in an attractive dual white and chrome finish that provides multi-functional showering and height adjustability. By means of a simple handle at the base of the panel, it can be effortlessly slid up and down up 200mm to achieve the perfect showering height for all the family. Protruding just 60mm from the wall, it is one of the flattest shower panels around, so even with its wealth of functionality (multi-spray overhead and hand shower, thermostatic controls and height adjustability) it still provides comfortable freedom of movement for smaller shower areas.

Based on the popular PuraVida design for bathrooms, Hansgrohe has come up with a new electronic mixer for the kitchen in brushed stainless steel or polished chrome. With the innovative electronic operating unit, which can be freely positioned, water flow and temperature is selected by a simple clicking or twisting action. One click for cold, two clicks for warm and three for hot. The LED ring around the circumference of the control changes from blue to red to indicate which temperature has been selected. Alternatively the control can be turned in the conventional way to achieve the desired temperature. These new mixers provide the ultimate combination of superb, eye-catching design with comfortable ease of use.

Created by sought after French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, this latest bathroom collection for Axor has flexibility at its heart. With over 70 individual products - mixers, accessories, wash basins and bath tubs, the user can create an ensemble to best suits their needs. The position of the mixer is not pre-determinded: you can decide where to locate the spout and handles, and also whether to make them rim-mounted, tile-mounted or wall-mounted. Softly shaped integrated shelves permit flexible positioning of the mixer or provide personal storage space. They can be cleverly used in all areas of the bathroom - shower, wash basin or bath tub. The design throughout is soft and free flowing with no corners or edges.
