The commitment to manufacturing in the UK is one that cooking brand Stoves has taken very seriously, a fact underlined by the decision to produce its new built-in collection at parent company GDHA’s North West base.
The stylish built-in portfolio, launched in late 2010 with all products labelled Made In Britain, consists of nine single and double ovens and 13 hobs and reasserted Stoves’ position as a market-leading built-in brand.
Available in a choice of black or stainless steel finishes, the collection of ovens includes 600mm, 700mm and 900mm heights with the same aesthetic applied to both the gas and electric models.
The collection consists of fanned and multifunction ovens, with all electric models being A rated for energy efficiency and all gas appliances fully FSD compliant.
All the models include programmable timers and rear halogen flood lights that provide up to 36% more light from 20% less energy, making it much easier to view food while it is cooking. Stoves also introduced the very user-friendly telescopic shelves across the majority of the collection.
One of the stars of the range is the 900mm SEB900MFS - an electric multifunction double oven with a host of great features and large capacity. The nine cooking functions include intensive bake, defrost and pizza options and the eight shelf positions in the main cavity make this is a very flexible appliance. The top cavity also offers a conventional oven with variable electric grill.
For those with less room, the SEB600MFS is a single multifunction oven with all the same features and functions as the main cavity of the SEB900MFS.
The stunning selection of 600mm and 700mm wide hobs, including gas, electric sealed plate and ceramic models, plus a range of five ceramic induction hobs, complements the ovens.
And, as a further reflection of the commitment to British innovation, Stoves introduced the SEH600i13AMP ‘plug and play’ induction hob – offering easy installation without the need for hardwiring.
The 60cm electric ceramic induction hob with touch controls, is believed to be the first 13AMP product in the market that offers all the smarter, faster, safer, greener benefits expected from an induction appliance. The ability to simply plug it in and turn it on means that, for the first time, an induction hob can be installed as easily as a gas hob, making it ideal for the replacement market. Features include four cook zones, nine power levels, pan detection, pan overheat detection, hot hob indicators and a safety child lock, as well as a power boost function. The flush fitting design and easy clean glass surface also mean that style wise it will fit nicely into most kitchens.
