Painted kitchens are set to be hot in 2011 and Mereway Kitchens are hitting the high street with 11 fashionable new colours for their English Revival In-frame Shaker range this spring, bringing the total to 16 beautiful tones to choose from.
The new Shaker collection, launched back in Autumn last year, saw the successful uptake of a Natural Oak finish, 5 painted pastel shades and a ready to paint option. The new launch is all about creating real impact with colour, and these enticing new tones derive from key periods in design history with each new core colour being complemented by a softer or deeper tone.
New colours include rustic Flame and Copper reds for adding depth and warmth, calming Duck Egg and Marine blues for a gentle, soothing sense and earthy Slate and Pewter greys that add a touch of nature’s hues. The finishes can be mixed and matched either tone on tone with each shade having a softer sister colour, or with a splash of contrasting colour choice for a dresser unit or Island to create a striking focal point.
