Trade Mouldings has become the first UK manufacturer to invest in laser edging technology using the latest generation tapes.
Raukantex Laser edge is a polypropylene (PP) with a high temperature and chemical resistance and the preferred material for the kitchen industry. This material does not require conventional glue for application and the special material laminated with the polypropylene melts via laser activation to form an invisible ‘weld’ with the board.
From visual, performance and hygiene points of view, there is no glue line or area for dirt to collect. It also prevents ingress of moisture to the substrate board which could cause swelling and deterioration.
Trade Mouldings primarily invested in laser edging for its Odyssey acrylic door collection with a 1mm acrylic sheet laminated to and MDF core, taking the quality of the edged product to a new level. The Odyssey doors are initially available in Gloss Black, White and Cream.
