Imperial Ware and Impulse Bathrooms have experienced difficulties in common with all companies producing or sourcing in China – in being able to respond quickly to customer demand.
“The new ranges launched at the KBB Show were so well received we have had some delays in meeting orders - a situation we refuse to allow to continue,” comments Imperial Bathroom Products Group MD Jan Klomp.
“We have instigated major initiatives to urgently return to a full supply situation and manufacturing capacity has been specifically allocated to fulfil the orders for the UK. Furthermore, experienced labour has been brought in from outside China to enable us to expand production.”
These ambitious growth plans mean that the group is now actively seeking to acquire an established ceramic manufacturing plant in North West Europe with a strong preference for the UK as the location as part of its expansion strategies for both the UK and Europe.
