Belling saving the planet and your pennies with induction
Published:  10 March, 2011

For consumers looking to do their bit for the environment and make savings on their energy bills, induction products make real sense.

Induction technology is like having an individual heating element inside each pan. When a pan is placed on an induction hob, it completes a magnetic circuit below the hob’s surface, which creates energy within the pan’s base and heats the pan and its contents. This ensures no energy is wasted, making induction approximately 30% more efficient than a gas hob and 25% more efficient than a ceramic hob.

Belling has long believed in the Smarter, Faster, Safer, Greener benefits of induction technology and has launched some of the UK’s most innovative induction products onto the market, all of which are Made in Britain.

The only induction hob with rotary controls

Making induction as accessible as possible, Belling launched the PBI60R, a 60cm induction hob with 4 induction elements and unique, easy-to-use rotary controls. The induction hob features a hot hob indicator, pan detection, auto heat up and a power boost function on all 4 zones.

Induction inside the oven cavity?

Most people have seen an induction hob, but Belling is the first brand to apply induction technology to a built-in oven.

The 60cm BI60i (pictured left) is the world’s first induction oven, combining a built-in fanned electric oven with an integrated induction plate inside the cavity. The 6-in-1 unique ‘oven within an oven’ is able to roast, steam, bake, slow cook, fan cook and make casseroles....using an impressive 50% less energy than an A rated oven when in induction mode.

What about freestanding?

Bringing excitement to the freestanding market, Belling launched the UK’s first freestanding double oven with an induction hotplate – the FSE60i.

The FSE60i (as shown in main image) is ideal for anyone wanting to upgrade to an induction hob, but wishing to have the added flexibility of a freestanding appliance. In addition to the FSE60i’s 9 function multifunction oven, the induction hotplate incorporates a number of intelligent cooking and safety features, including a pan overheat sensor, child lock and safety shut down, plus a keep warm function and dedicated griddle zone.
