BSH Home Appliances, current holder of the TEQ award for the best customer service in the UK domestic appliance industry has won another prestigious award for 2010 - for the company’s Starting Off Apprenticeship Scheme for school leavers.
At the Inspiring Achievement Awards held in November, BSH won The Apprenticeship Award for the best apprenticeship scheme in the county.
Starting Off is a Government-funded organisation designed to enable young people to gain new skills and real employment opportunities in local businesses. These valuable internships for school leavers not only offer full Customer Service Apprenticeship training but also provide first class work experience in a wide range of duties from customer liaison to product promotion.
The training scheme lasts for nine months, during which time on the job training is provided in all aspects of the work and assessments are continually made in order to complete an NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Customer Service.
