Protecting the environment takes innovation. Every day Siemens is working to find ways to reduce the amount of energy our appliances use, while steadily increasing their performance and convenience. In the last fifteen years alone, Siemens has cut consumption in all appliance categories by over half and by up to 63% in fridge freezers.
In recent months Siemens brought to market a number of new product innovations, many of which have tapped into the growing role that energy and water efficiency is playing in the decision-making cycle of the consumer.
These include the world’s most energy efficient dishwasher. Thanks to Zeolith®, a naturally occurring mineral that absorbs water molecules and then releases them as energy, this dishwasher uses 30% less energy than an A rated appliance.
Other key innovations include the world’s first washer-dryer to use air instead of water to dry clothes, saving up to 24,000 litres of water every year; an A rated condenser dryer that uses 50% less energy than the standard A rated appliance; and an A++ fridge-freezer that saves more than 45% in energy costs when compared to an A rated appliance.
If there's one thing we're proud of at Siemens, it's the continuous stream of innovative ideas and imaginative technology our designers produce every day. And in buying a Siemens product consumers can expect outstanding, world-class performance as well as a clear conscience.
