High gloss Parapan® and wood are perfect partners to create a striking, sleek, modern look. The juxtaposition of the flawless reflections of Parapan® and the texture of a variety of woods, from book matched Zebrano to 250 year-old Burr Oak, create a look that is contemporary but warm and comfortable.
In multifunctional areas designers are moving away from a stark white clinical feel and are using vibrant, bright shades of Parapan® alongside other materials, allowing kitchen and dining zones to be linked together but with a separate identity.
Parapan® is an acrylic material which because it is solid, is dramatically more hardwearing than lacquer and other applied finishes. Glossy, waterproof and very repairable – any minor blemishes can be easily removed - it is extremely durable taking the knocks and bangs of daily living with equanimity.
Kitchen designers love Parapan® for its palette of 23 UV-stable colours that will never fade, from sophisticated neutrals to vibrant brights. The solid colour runs all the way through and is glossy on both sides ensuring that doors look equally good when open.
Parapan® can be thermoformed into any radius of curve and machine cut to any size just as easily as wood. Available in two thicknesses: 18mm suitable for doors, drawers and vertical panels and a 4mm ideal for splash backs and wall cladding.
