Having been original in its approach to targeting a lethargic market over the past twenty four months, BCG completed its 4th Big Tour on the 18th of November; having continued to recognise that the kitchen and bathroom industry needs a facilitator to help bring new products, design, innovation and the latest trends right to the doorstep of the retailer, BCG again took its travelling road show to Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London.
Attended by over forty of the industry’s leading brands including GDHA, Ideal Standard, Twyford Bathrooms, Franke and Indesit/Hotpoint, BCG chose Big Tour as the platform to launched three new brands, each synonymous with high design, quality and excellence. Baumatic, Jacuzzi and GE joined the list of recognised names exhibiting at the five locations.
Baumatic showcased their latest Slim-Line built-in products, choosing BCG to become their sole UK National distributor for this new product line.
GE picked Big Tour to demonstrate the rugged American styling of their GE, GE-Profile and GE-Monogram product lines along with Jacuzzi UK, who’s stunning sanitary and bathing product ranges from the innovative ‘Collection’ product portfolio were displayed for the industry’s retailers to appreciate.
BCG also took the opportunity of Big Tour to launch their exclusive distribution deal with Moores Furniture and showcased the high quality of their `Four Seasons Rigid’ kitchen furniture range. With over twenty five kitchen designs to choose from, BCG has chosen to compliment their portfolio with a kitchen furniture range that provides elegance, choice and diversity to its retailers with the increased benefit of distributing directly to the retailer or end customer as a rigid offering.
With the launch of Airmiles at the beginning of 2010, BCG has continued to recognise that their customers are motivated by a little something extra and the reward scheme has been a huge success in bringing new customers to the company as well as encouraging existing customers to save and benefit from such a prestigious incentive offering. In the previous twelve months BCG has awarded over 3,500,000 Airmiles, enough miles to enable 4,666 people to travel to Paris and back, for free; and will continue to offer the industry this scheme exclusively, for the following two years.
After previously separating its distinctive twice-yearly pricebook ‘The List’ into two separate books, one for Merchants and one for Retailers, BCG in the last quarter of 2010 launched The ‘Total List’ a completely new, ring binder format, pricing book designed solely with the retailer in mind.
BCG now has the ability to immediately respond to incremental price changes, introduce or exclude new or discontinued products or launch completely new brands, by updating the individual pages or compartments of the book, rather than face the previous problem of having to re-print the entire book.
In December 2010 BCG also launched a striking, contemporary new website. Customers can now place orders online - receiving confirmation within 1 hour. View their account status, directly download invoices, view and track the status of an order, create quotations - with the ability to personalise and check stock availability in real-time, 24 hours a day.
