HiB has introduced a major solution for illuminated bathroom mirrors – three new LED designs powered by a long-life re-chargeable battery pack.
Illuminated mirrors are now a high demand item but fitting them into existing bathrooms and cloakrooms comes with one overriding problem – how to access a power source.
In these times this would require a fully qualified electrician who would inevitably have to remove tiles, disrupt the wall finish and leave a bill anywhere of between £200 to £300 in addition to the cost of the actual mirror.
The new HiB designs have a 6-cell re-chargeable pack with a 30 – 35 hour life under normal circumstances. It then simply slides out of a discreet slot in the side of the mirror and can be swiftly re-charged using a remote unit that is included with the mirror.
Apart from the obvious convenience in being able to buy the mirror and hang it almost anywhere in the bathroom within minutes…along with the cost savings, there is also a crucial environmental consideration.
HiB’s new mirrors contribute significantly to energy conservation by not using mains power and having very low energy but high illumination LED bulbs. The advanced Ni-Mh batteries can be recharged up to 1,000 times so avoid the wasteful and contaminating disposal of one-use disposable batteries. The new HiB re-chargeable LED mirrors are at the cutting edge of responsible resource usage.
