Chris Tate was a valued member of PWS’ customer service team for 10 years until her sudden death in June. Renowned for her exceptionally kind and helpful nature, for the past five years Chris had tirelessly co-ordinated the Operation Christmas Child shoebox appeal to help ensure children in poorer countries had gifts to open on Christmas morning.
In her memory, the customer service team have approached staff, customers and suppliers to donate gifts, services or money towards fulfilling at least 100 shoeboxes - a target that is likely to be exceeded.
It was always Chris’ wish for some of the shoeboxes to benefit disadvantaged children locally and through the network of health visitors in Co Durham this aim will be achieved.
To date donations have been received from many suppliers and customers including: Tuffnells, T&S Kitchens, Tyne Tees Packaging, S&B EPS Ltd, Wilkinsons of Aycliffe and Glen Office Supplies.
