Despite continued signs that the UK economy is in the doldrums, one new UK bathroom design company, Stonearth, has bucked the trend, to show not only strong growth at home, but even expansion into the wider European market.
Stonearth’s Polly Lam explains: “We were really nervous about launching a company in the current climate: but our debut at KBB 2010 was a huge success, and reassured us that there’s definitely a place in the market for offering people something different and special, that also represents great value for money.
“In fact, since KBB over 50 retailers nationwide have taken on the Stonearth range of solid oak and hand-carved stone bathroom furniture. It’s been such an exciting response that we wanted to see how far we could take things; and that’s why we’ve taken the brand to Scandinavia!”
Stonearth begin their European assault at the renowned VVS-Dagene show in Oslo on October 20-22 and are confident of gaining representation in Norway, Sweden and Denmark within the coming months.
