Salamander Pumped Shower Systems Ltd., the country’s largest supplier of shower pumps and a leader in pump design, recently honoured Quality Manager Peter Frost for 25 years service with the company. Peter joined Salamander as an electrical apprentice aged just seventeen when the company consisted of only four employees.
Salamander has expanded vastly since then, now employing in excess of 60 staff. Peter moved onto the tools when his general apprenticeship ended, he was subsequently promoted to the position of Product Manager and then to Quality Manager, a vital post in maintaining Salamander’s reputation for manufacturing high quality, ultra reliable products.
The presentation of an engraved watch was made in the Boardroom of Salamander’s brand new manufacturing, warehousing and office complex [still in Sunderland] by Chairman Geoffrey Gestetner and in the presence of Tony Graves, the Managing Director. Peter is a dedicated and loyal Salamander employee but, when not absorbed in the intricacies of shower pump manufacture, he does find time to share his loyalty with his other passion, Sunderland Football Club.
