Bathroom furniture offers great potential to retailers

Although the economy is not out of the woods yet, we are seeing signs that consumers are showing real desire to improve their homes. When it comes to replacing bathrooms, many will be new to bathroom furniture. This provides an opportunity and a challenge. While there is certainly scope for maximising a sale, there is a job to be done in effectively communicating the plus points of what can be considered as an additional expense.

Consumers may need a helping hand to understand the many benefits of bathroom furniture. The obvious ones are the invaluable storage for products we tend to accumulate, plus the opportunity to maximise space in the smallest rooms of the home.

Both fitted and modular furniture can help create the illusion of more space in a bathroom, en suite or cloakroom by eliminating unsightly clutter and in the case of modular furniture, giving more floor space, which also makes cleaning easier.

Fitted furniture ensures any traditional or contemporary bathroom, en suite or cloakroom has clean lines. It also conceals unsightly pipe work such as the soil pipe, waste pipe and hot and cold pipe work.

Modular basin units are an alternative to just offering a basin and pedestal, and extremely flexible. They give storage and the modern look many consumers want.

In addition, wall hung furniture can create the illusion of more space in smaller bathrooms.

Ultimately, furniture can turn a good bathroom into a great bathroom and help to add value to a property. With furniture available at many price points there is a design to suit most budgets.
