Franke pushes the boundaries of technology
Published:  02 September, 2010

Leading sink manufacturer, Franke, continually strives to be at the forefront of design and innovation and push the boundaries of technology! The company’s new products have been designed to build on the success of previous portfolios and are user-focused, encompass better hygiene, have updated aesthetics and streamlined profiles.

Sinks

Largo range

From this popular family of bestselling stainless steel sinks, which are hugely popular due to the large bowls, comes newly configured Largo undermounted sinks which extend the range to cover all requirements. The focus on the traditional LAX 120 45-30 configuration has been extended with three new models, so that there are more options available for the retailer or designer.

Peak Undermount sink range

The very newest generation of sinks from Franke is the Peak range for good-looking, super hygienic workstations. These clever sinks show off Franke’s technical prowess like nothing else – the pressed bowls have tight 5mm corner radii giving the appearance of a true 90 degree corner but with all the hygienic advantages. Comprising six models, the hallmark of these sinks is not only the tight radii but also the new complementary square, stylish basket strainer waste - but with the added advantage that the 90mm waste still accepts a Franke Turbo Waste Disposal Unit if required. We are surethat Peak will become a flagshipdesign within the Franke portfolio.

Taps

Rolux tap

(new black and new non-pullout version)

The Rolux tap from Franke exudes contemporary style, emitting bright LED light which adds atmosphere and a dramatic air to any kitchen. This white light illuminates the water delivery creating a stunning visual effect. Even when the tap is turned off, the appearance is equally striking as the LED acts as ambient lighting in the kitchen. The 2010 portfolio includes two variants of the Rolux. The tap now comes in a black finish to contrast with stainless steel, and complement black ceramic and glass sinks, while the existing chrome model is now available without the pullout spray. The taps are already hugely popular and the body shape, along with the new variants, ensure that all kitchen designs are catered for.

Bern tap

The Bern tap has been produced specifically to complement the new Peak range of sinks, and fits perfectly as it follows the design motif in the handles and carries sophisticated aesthetics at the same time. The angular spout and trendy chrome finish are perfect for the ultimate in sink solutions.

Hoods

Brick Sil-K

Through extensive research and sophisticated dynamic simulations, Franke has identified the major cause of noise in hoods and has launched two new hoods to beat it – the Decorative Brick Sil-K 90 and Decorative Brick Sil-K Island. Perfect for open plan living, soundproofing partitions in the hoods, which increase sound absorbing surfaces, eliminate noise flow in favour of silent air flow. Sil-K technology therefore cancels out sound emissions coming from the diffuser and filters, thereby reducing hood sound power by 12DB (A). 16 hoods equipped with Sil-K technology make the same amount of noise as one standard hood!
