Triflow Concepts to showcase new and innovative product ranges at 100% Design
Published:  02 September, 2010

Triflow Concepts is launching new product ranges at 100% Design this September including the Triflow Quadro System - a revolutionary four-way water-delivery system

Fusing elegance and style with technological innovation, with the introduction of the Quadro System, Triflow Concepts expands on its patented Triflow technology which delivers hot, cold and filtered water through a dedicated waterway within one spout and introduces the convenience factor with the addition of instant hot, filtered water heated to 98˚C. Through the use of a segregated waterway for the filtered water, the Quadro System will address all safety concerns: cross-contamination is successfully blocked and the spring child lock ensures the hot filtered water is only activated with intent. The system comes in a range of cutting edge designs but will also be available in several existing Triflow taps, including the award-winning Zaha Hadid version.

Mains water goes through the Triflow Filtration System before it is heated in the tank system, delivering hot, filtered water on demand for tea, coffee or blanching vegetables. Incorporating the highest quality Katadyn ceramic filter; this system substantially reduces harmful chemical and biological contaminants, while leaving beneficial minerals such as fluoride, magnesium and calcium untouched.

Quadro is available in either a mechanical, three-lever or electronically controlled version. Although caution has to be taken with any device that supplies hot water, each Triflow Quadro System remains cool to the touch and incorporates a safety feature to minimise the risk of scalding.

This appliance partners an exclusively designed, ventilated heater tank with the Triflow system, all built into one small unit under the work top. The non-pressurised tank heats water to 98˚C and it is released as a stream of hot water rather than steam. Unlike a conventional kettle, the hot water is heated continuously as it is used and can deliver up to 25 litres of near-boiling water per hour.

Mechanical models

The three lever system has the same operating function as the widely recognised Triflow models, however, the left hand lever incorporates the hot, filtered water. The hot water is activated by simply pushing the lever towards the body. Once the handle has been released, the safety mechanism is triggered to stop the flow of hot water immediately.

Electronic models

An electronic button with dual technology activates the filtered hot or cold water. Press the right hand side of the button for a few seconds to activate the filtered water and press again to stop the flow. Press and hold the left side for a few seconds to activate the hot, filtered water. The left hand side of the button needs to be held down for the hot water to flow; as soon as the button is released the water flow is stopped.
