Electronically-operated tap from Schell maintains hygiene and minimises water consumption
Published:  02 September, 2010

The latest product from Schell is an electronically-operated wash basin fitting aimed at the public and commercial sector. The Celis E is a robust but elegant tap manufactured in one piece, avoiding the seams that make it hard to maintain hygiene standards and available as a mixer tap for hot and cold water or for cold or pre-mixed water. The solenoid technology enabling automatic ‘hands-off’ operation makes it suitable for frequent-use public situations, minimising water consumption and maintenance.

Activated by a sensor on the body of the tap below the spout, sensor range can be varied to suit the conditions of individual washrooms; a 24-hour stagnation flush to maintain optimum hygiene is available. Celis E can be mains or battery operated; if the latter is selected, the long life batteries are easily exchanged. The tap is installed using the two CleanFix S tubes supplied and all working components are neatly concealed behind the basin.
