Keen-eyed viewers of the current series of Channel 4’s Big Brother will have spotted two distinctive wall coverings in the bathroom. One is a custom-made floral wallpaper depicting scenes from previous shows, the other consists of thousands of tiny glass mosaic tiles (tesserae). This innovative wall covering forms part of the Trend Wallpaper collection designed to create outstanding feature walls with tactile appeal.
One of a collection of 64 patterns and 130 colourways, the Damask covering has the repeated modular structure of wallpaper and is supplied on backing material, ready to fix on most interior and exterior surfaces - yet is shiny, touchable, hardwearing and moisture resistant. Comprising 1.5cm (⅝”) square tiles, the pattern repeats can be applied smoothly across flat or contoured substrates on walls, floors, ceilings or swimming pools.
The Trend Italia design team has also rendered the Big Brother eye motif as a classic mosaic wall panel (see image), with each tiny square representing a single 1cm x 1cm tile.
