One of the key motivational factors behind Blum developing the most advanced kitchen storage solutions came from independent research which found that 66% of new kitchen buyers living in an average four-person home found that they had inadequate storage space only after installation was completed.
Blum’s intelligent approach to kitchen design starts with maximising all available space, taking into account the volume of the cabinets in base units, on the walls, in corners - and even in the depth of the plinth and underneath the sink – to such an extent that capacity can be increased by up to 55% compared with a conventional kitchen.
There are no fixed shelves in Blum base units. Everything stored at all levels is instantly and easily accessible by installing full-extension well organised drawers and internal pull-outs with interior division systems such as ORGA-LINE and flexible gallery dividers.
SPACE CORNER maximises corner storage areas and allows total and immediate access right to the back of the unit at all levels. By extending base units drawers into the plinth area, greater height space is achieved and normally ‘dead’ areas including under and around the sink can be better utilised for storage.
Wall units are fitted with AVENTOS lift door systems to allow easier access and space saving in the main kitchen area. In both its mid and full-height larder units Blum has developed zero-protrusion hinges for the doors so that the internal pull-outs can occupy the full width of the cabinet – again, fully maximising available space.
