MHS Radiators has supplied 544 of its chrome and white electric-only Space towel rails to Strata SE1, London’s tallest residential tower. Nicknamed ‘The Razor’, the 148 metre high 43-storey building has three 19kW wind turbines integrated within the building’s façade and expected to generate up to 50 MWh of electricity annually.
The development has focused on sustainability with whole house ventilation systems with heat recovery, a district heating system, low energy lighting and high performance glazing to feature alongside the integrated wind turbines. The development comprises 408 high quality apartments in two buildings, the Tower and the Pavilion.
The M&E contractors for the project Briggs & Forrester MEP specified the Space towel rails from MHS Radiators which offer a touch of luxury at an excellent price. Available in both straight and bowed formats, Space is manufactured using 22mm chrome plated steel tubes. Offering low maintenance, every towel rail is covered by a 5-year guarantee.
