The KBSA welcomes new members and announces its AGM
Published:  31 July, 2010

Long standing KBSA corporate member Aga Rangemaster has added two of its most popular brands as Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom Specialist Association brand members.

The KBSA has welcomed the well known brands Aga and Fired Earth, trade and wholesale divisions, which serve the specialist retailer sector.

Fired Earth, which launched in 1984, specialises in interiors products; floor and wall tiles, paint, bathrooms, kitchen furniture and wood flooring.

The Aga brand includes a range of conventional cookers, refrigeration products, the Rayburn and a large collection of cookware and a line-up of AGA-branded stoves.

Angela McPake, Sales Director of Aga said: “We are very excited to be working with the KBSA, having been an integral part of the kitchen for so long. The modern Aga and Rayburn are well worth investigating as they have evolved hugely in the last few years and we are sure that members will see the appeal of the products for their customers.”

Aga Rangemaster, established in 1803, is famous for its UK made range cookers. Aga Rangemaster is Europe’s leading range cooker manufacturer and has everything from traditional gas and electric ovens to contemporary range and built in cookers. It also has a range of appliances, including refrigeration, dishwashers, sinks and taps.

Graham Ball, chief executive officer of the KBSA, said: “It’s great that the iconic AGA brand is now on board, and Fired Earth fits perfectly with our membership, many of whom already purchase their products. It is really pleasing that premium brands see the value of the KBSA and support its members.

“The KBSA is committed to growing its corporate membership which offers a unique opportunity for manufacturers and distributers to engage with some of the best specialist retailers on the high street.

“The latest supplier survey showed that KBSA retail members generated £2.26m of business over the past 12 months with more than 50% of this total arising from sales of appliances, work surfaces, sinks and taps.”

A date for your diary

The KBSA has confirmed that the date of the 2010 AGM will be Thursday 16th September. The event will take place at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire.

This year’s meeting is timed to coincide with the kbbreview kitchen conference so that members can make best use of their time away from the showroom or the office by attending the KBSA AGM and the conference if they wish.

KBSA CEO Graham Ball says: “We hope that members will take this opportunity to join us for the AGM and make the most of the day by attending the kbbreview networking conference.

“The AGM is an important event in the KBSA calendar. It is much more than dealing with new resolutions and the election of officers as we have the opportunity to present a comprehensive review of our activities and share our plans for the future whilst gaining direct feedback from members.”
