Traditional British stove-maker ESSE has launched the stunning 990 range cooker which boasts three large capacity ovens, giving a combined volume of 112 litres. Featuring a secondary glass door, the firebox allows the flames to be admired while allowing extra heat into the room.
Despite its massive cooking capacity, the 990 remains one of the most energy-efficient range cookers available. It does not have to remain on all the time and heats up quickly from cold; the wood-burning version is carbon neutral.
Available with an optional domestic hot water boiler, the 990 stove incorporates the company's distinctive 'dog bone' hotplate which has now been enlarged to accommodate six pans or more.
Drawing on classic 1930s ESSE styling, the 990mm wide cooker combines traditional aesthetics with practical, modern touches such as a stainless steel towel rail and easy-shut door handles. It is available from an exclusive network of independent retailers.
