Bathroom storage and Mirror cabinets reflect popularity in a growing market

A bathroom without some form of storage or a mirror is inconvenient if not unpleasant to use. There may be some truth in the idea that the rise in popularity of bathing over the last 150 years has been paralleled by advances in mirror technology that have improved quality and reduced prices. Mirrors or mirrored cabinets are essential items in the bathroom. The first for preparing to face the world and the second to store everything that accumulates in bathrooms.

Cabinets and Mirrors are available in a variety of materials, including Pine, Oak, satin black or white finish. Many today offer halogen lighting and there are even options with down lights that are IP44 rated to illuminate the wash basin.

We have come a long way from the small medicine chests that hung on British bathroom walls to pay lip service to storage. These metamorphosed into various plastic confections during the 1970’s, which in turn laid the foundations for the mirrors and bathrooms cabinets that have developed into the high quality bathroom furniture that is on offer today.
