In March 2010, Hansgrohe exhibited their award-winning portfolio of water and energy-saving showers, mixer taps and thermostatic mixers at Ecobuild. Among the new launches was the Raindance Showerpipe EcoSmart S180 AIR. Superb showering functionality is provided by the 18cm overhead shower and 10cm hand shower both with AirPower which enriches and volumises every water droplet. Equipped with EcoSmart technology, water consumption is reduced to a maximum 9 litres per minute depending on pressure, significantly less than for an average disc-shaped overhead shower which generally requires more than 20 litres a minute.
The Raindance E420 Showerpipe also went into production this year. The unusual design features an asymmetrically-positioned flat wall rail, a wide thermostat, a large flat rectangular overhead shower, a 1 jet baton hand shower on a smooth, easy to clean shower hose and a useful glass shelf. The large fixed showerhead, distinguished by an ergonomic rectangular design with softened corners features a refreshing waterfall spray mode in addition to the air-infused normal spray.
Always bang on trend, Hansgrohe introduced colour to the bathroom this year with their latest PuraVida collection. Created in conjunction with Phoenix design, the mixer taps and showers have soft flowing lines and a striking dual-colour finish combining pure white with classic chrome. The rectangular PuraVida overhead shower with curved corners has been designed to fit the human form delivering a shoulder-shaped cone of water which lands directly onto the body instead of the surrounding floor. The generously sized hand shower features new whirling finger massage jets and a new feature invented by Hansgrohe called EasyClick - this is perfect for all users young and old as a simple push of the button is all that is required to change the spray mode.
