RAK Ceramics UK launches new industry awards

RAK Ceramics is upping the ante in the bathroom industry by encouraging its customers to demonstrate innovation and dedication to RAK Ceramics' brand. With the introduction of its brand new awards, RAK Ceramics UK is creating a platform for its customers to really shine and to walk off with some fabulous prizes to boot.

As well as a raft of awards targeted at RAK Ceramics' existing customer base the company is also calling on hot new British design talent studying product design at UK colleges and universities to step up to the challenge of creating a stunning sanitaryware design. The Dr Khater Massad Best Young Designer Award for an Individual Sanitaryware Design has been created to re-inject excitement into the world of bathroom design.

The Award categories for RAK customers are:

The Robert Jull Award for Best RAK Studio Dealer Showroom design. This award has been created to reward the most eye-catching and visually impressive showroom featuring RAK Ceramics bathroom displays. The winner of this category will receive an all-expenses paid 7-day holiday to the UAE, staying in the amazing 7-star Palace hotel. The holiday, including flights and transfers, is worth approximately £2500.

Best Salesperson with a distributor. Salespeople within bathroom distributors are often not given the recognition they deserve, but this award will reward those unsung heroes. The award winner will enjoy a 4-day ‘Taste and Flavour of Italy' gourmet break, with flights and transfers included, worth approximately £1000.

Best Salesperson with a dealer. This award is to recognise the hard work of the people at the sharp end of things. The winner of this category will show real flair for enticing consumers to purchase RAK Ceramics products with eye-catching bathroom designs and a true commitment to the brand. The award winner will enjoy a 4-day beach holiday in the south of France, with flights and transfers included, worth approximately £750.

Entries must be completed and submitted by 31^st May 2009. Our judging panel of experts will then narrow down entries to a shortlist, inviting these finalists to present their designs to the judges in person. All finalists will also be invited to the RAK Ceramics UK glittering black-tie award ceremony on 23^rd July 2009 at the Sofitel in London, where the winners will be announced with the traditional opening of an envelope.

How to Enter

RAK Ceramics has made it really easy to enter. Just follow these simple steps:

Step one: Pick your category

Look at the list, choose your category. You can only enter one. In the design categories, you can submit only one design.

Step two: Get your pictures together

You may need pictures to support your entry. If so, include a CD with your entry. Pictures should be jpegs with a minimum 300 dpi at 10cm x 10cm. DO NOT embed the pictures within your text document unless you are also including them on a CD.

Step three: Write your text

You are allowed a maximum of 1,000 words to support your entry.

Step four: Send it to us

It's really easy to fill in your details. Complete the entry and post it to us with your CD of pictures. Remember to include all your contact details.

Step five: Ask us if you need help with compiling or sending your entry

Step six: Get it to us by the closing date

Don't waste all your hard work by missing the closing date. Make sure it reaches us by May 31^st 2009.
