LG HI-MACS® for counter top perfection
Published:  09 May, 2008

LG HI-MACS® is a natural acrylic stone made from a blend of 75% natural minerals and pigments set in an acrylic matrix. It is extremely hard wearing, non-porous and scratch resistant.

This offers the user a solid surface which is not only a pleasure to view but to work with - easy to clean and extremely hygienic.

Pictured above is a stunning example of how LG HI-MACS® can be use for design and performance perfection for a modern kitchen worksurface with integrated sink.

In this case a semi-circular island unit is topped with a back-lit LG HI-MACS® fully integrated surface selected in Gemini from the high-tech and futuristic Volcanics range.

The worksurface includes both integrated splash backs and twin circular sinks with bridging draining grooves formed into the surface.

The designers of this unit had total freedom due to the superb characteristics of LG HI-MACS® which allow it to be machined, thermo-formed and seamlessly joined without complicated manufacturing of fabricating procedures.

Apart from the exciting new Volcanics collection with its semi translucent properties and suspended particles, LG HI-MACS® is also available in a wide range of colours and effects from solid tones to granite, quartz, sand and pearl effects.
