Manufacturer Appollo make baths for those who find it difficult getting in and out of a standard bath and have a wide range of assisted baths available. Appollo have taken assisted bathing for the elderly one step further by offering hydrotherapy as an upgrade option.
For 2008 they are introducing a new "hydraulic" model, which lifts the bather in and out of the bath on a seat and is perfect for those individuals who have a high degree of disability. The bath can also be supplied with the Original Airbath spa system, which injects ‘hydrated' air, a mix of hot air and hot water, so that the bubbles increase the warming sensation when they hit the skin. It is this type of system that appeals as a genuine healing bath; helping with arthritis, back pain and muscular problems so that the user can have both easy access and a hydrotherapy experience!
