Golden Coast offer the Felicity
NOT JUST A BATHROOM - MORE A WAY OF LIFE
Published:  14 February, 2008

A bathroom today should be seen as a sanctuary for relaxation and well-being providing an escape from the stresses of everyday life. With more than 50 years as an innovator in sauna and steam-room technology, Swedish manufacturer Tylö has combined designer-shower features with the most advanced steam generators to create an innovative and imaginative multi-functional steam-shower that takes up no more space than the average bath, yet offers a choice of features including shower, massage and steam bathing all in one unit.

As a shower the ‘Felicity' range features dual function circular ‘rain forest' and relaxing "rain therapy" full-width ceiling showers and an invigorating massage function with six adjustable high-pressure nozzles enhanced by a cascade waterfall.

In steam-room mode, it offers traditional relaxing steam bathing with added ‘cloudburst' function, while an ingenious folding seat and backrest provides a comfortable place to relax alone, yet cleverly adjusts to form a two-seat bench for a partner.

For those looking to create the ultimate luxury bathroom, Tylö's design team has turned conventional sauna thinking on its head, transforming the ‘wooden cabin with benches and a heater' into relaxing design-led bespoke ‘rooms' capable of fitting any domestic setting with striking designs as set pieces in their own right.

The ‘Vision' sauna range incorporates full length smoke-tinted tempered safety glazed wall panels and rounded bow-fronts to provide a sensation of space from within, complemented by curved frames concealing recessed exterior down lighters. Inside lighting, hidden behind the contoured backrest of the benches, spreads a ‘gentle glow' throughout the room whilst the music system completes the feeling of ‘well-being'.

Combining the quality of its cabins with the convenience of infra-red sauna bathing, the company offers a range of conventional or infra-red heaters that befits its brand.  Dependent on size, cabins can be supplied with one or multiple infra-red heaters, whilst to meet all requirements of infra-red or conventional sauna bathing, dual-heating systems can be provided within a single cabin.

Tylö also offers a wide range of steam rooms - from compact two-seat units to those designed for the whole family - featuring glazed doors and wall panels to achieve different sizes and designs, improved seating and an integral floor tray, as well as mood lighting.

Where bespoke designs are required to fit a particular setting, every element used in Tylö saunas and steam rooms is available individually to create customised designs to fit any setting.
